Em's Artwork
Moments That Last Forever
The following pieces have been inspired by my trip to Italy in the summer of 2019.
These creations have been a blessing to create and will never be forgotten.
Not only have I grown as an artist from this experience, but also as a human being.

Sketchbook Pages:
The images below are from my sketchbook that I worked on while I was in Italy this past summer. For three weeks I worked on a specific theme that started out with 'Capturing Moments' and then ended as 'Collections and Tourism'. I collected anything that was part of the culture and tourism plus artifacts from my days. While I traveled on the train to different countries, I made collages with European magazine clippings. I worked on sketching while I went to galleries and museums to improve my drawing observational skills. This was a trip of a lifetime not only has a person but as an artist.
Part 2: Capturing Italy With A Needle And Thread
Earrings
Italy Inspired Earrings
The earrings shown were a project that I finished the week after I got home from my trip. The process was simple in that I drew the Florentine lily on white fabric and then embroidered the symbol in gold. I then attached the bottom portion to the Venetian Morano glass beads with gold hooks and jump rings. I really wanted to capture the essence of Italy with the delicate detail and flashy style.

IL MODELLO AL COLOSSEO
The rubble stood still…
While the stadium started to fill.
All the tourists taking photos...
And sharing their mementos…
It’s the Colosseum they’re in…
And here I am with sun-kissed skin.
