I was curious.

A little too curious I might add… but then I opened up that magazine that I held so tightly and I was hooked. These women are on every page telling the world what beauty really is. They are standing in front of the camera giving them all of the angles. For what purpose? What are they trying to say?  My eye caught onto this phenomenon and wondered, what’s it like to take these women out of this made up world and how are they portrayed now? Are they more real? Do they tell a story better in a collage based composition? Or is it all a hoax? Are these women acting that they know it all and that everything is not what it seems? 

My curiosity made me fly high above the clouds and I wanted to try different means of execution. I put collages on vinyl records and made some of the pieces split down the middle to represent a sketchbook. My concentration is to display beauty in a way that tells a story in a fun yet awkward way. I could escape the busyness of my life in creating and I hope your curiosity lets you dive deep into my world.
